The dead dance behind my flaky skin cells.
They jig and put a move to the staccato,
Jumping bean music belting from the band
On the stand, swaying back and forth
With dust floating off of their eyelids.
They are getting down in my stomach,
Lounging about in the recesses of my sternum.
They’re just chilling,
Wasting some time behind my skin.

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll make a good husband. I don’t make a lot of money, I have bouts of intense depression, and have the sex drive of a thousand teenage bulls. It usually just makes me more depressed than I already am.

Then I remember: I’m alright. For each of my deficiencies, I have a comparable excellence. My worth isn’t about what I do poorly, it’s about what I do well and can learn to do better.
